May 19th :: CHARTER STATUS AWARD...We are delighted to announce that on 12th May 2009, we were accredited as an FA Charter Standard Club. In order to achieve this award, we as a club had to prove that we are meeting the required criteria demanded by the Football Association.
What this means to you as parents and to your children as players is:
* the club will ensure that all teams are coached by qualified people
* that all mangers/coaches will be vetted by club officials, all managers will follow the good practise criteria of the FA
* we, as a club have undertaken to vet all managers/coaches/club officials through the Criminal Records Bureau.
In addition and importantly for the club, we now have access to greater funding for coaching and courses for our managers/coaches.
LSFC is a leading club in the area and we intend to ensure, through this award, that the club continues to offer the right approach to providing football for the local community

Vice Chairman

His return to Manor Road comes just weeks after winning the Ridgeon's Premier League with Lowestoft Town as a player, chairman Chris Austin said "I'm delighted to see Damian back where his football career began at Long Stratton FC, it's another sign of our progress as a club that we have Damian's wealth of coaching experience in our youth set-up which we are really committed to, not only are we providing football for the youngsters of the village we are bringing through future Reds for our senior teams in years to come." May 17th :: LONG STRATTON LADIES 4 SHRUBLANDS 0...This was a big game for the girls, wanting to finish the season on a high especially after the unfortunate 1-0 defeat to Norwich last time out. Even with the rain pouring down Long Stratton were the stronger team from the off, However it took us a while to hit the net but once Lucy Kean put us 1-0 up, the chances kept on coming Stratton's way. Lucy Kean went on to score a well deserved hat-trick and Naomi got on the score sheet too. Towards the end the defence was called into action with Shrublands coming forward, with Danielle tracking back she got on the end of the corner and steered it goalwards but Cara Skinner was on hand to beat it away to finish the game with a clean sheet...
Long Stratton Ladies still have a couple of games left...
May 12th :: STATEMENT FROM THE NEW MANAGERS..."We would like to thank the committee for placing their trust in us and cannot wait to get started on what we feel will be a very exciting season ahead with fresh ideas, training programs and faces. We are confident the club as a whole can have a very successful season with the valued support of Simon Hilton in the Reserves, and new members of staff and players alike. With our past experience of success in this division coupled with the resolve the club has shown in this tough season which has proved the spirit and passion for the club. We feel with the continuation of these values, discipline and team work, and the imperative importance of retaining our current squad of players that we value highly that the future is bright, the future is RED"...Danny Giacomelli & Dave Robinson...
