Brian Lythgoe is the Club's General Manager and here he writes exclusively for longstrattonfc.co.uk

Over the next few weeks a number of people involved in managing and running the club have holiday commitments. Not a great time I will agree but most are long standing arrangements and unavoidable. However, much work has been done to ensure that it is business as usual for both the 1st and Res teams and we should have no excuses to fall back on.

Other members of the Committee and Senior players have stepped up to the plate to help during this time and we have tried to cover all scenarios. Both teams have excellent squads of 14 players for this coming weekend and we still have players to come back from injuries, holidays and suspensions. THIS MEANS IT IS BUSINESS AS USUAL, TRAINING AS USUAL AND A DESIRE TO WIN THAT IS 2nd TO NONE. There are tough games in the next few weeks but I would ask all players to get behind whoever is running things, show the Long Stratton team spirit which has got us through hard games in the past and lets come out the other end with some results to be proud of.
The future looks good. The future is red (with a dash of black).
