The History of LSFC

Our history maps out our future....

Long Stratton Football Club was reformed in 1946 and originally played in the Norwich & District League, joining the Anglian Combination League in 1977. A photo of a Long Stratton F.C. team from 1911 has been given to the club, and now hangs in the changing room. Indicating the club has a rich history going back beyond the second world war, and was well established even before the great war.

Recent Success

The club has recently seen unprecedented success, gaining 3 consecutive promotions in the Anglian Combination League, under the management of Vic Harwin, this came after the club spent 20 years in Division 4. In 2009/10 under the managment of David Robinson and Danny Giacomelli we reached our highest ever position in senior football, finishing 3rd in division 1, missing out on promotion to the premier by goal difference.
